Principal's Message

Dear Creekside Families,

 

We had a great week at Creekside!  It’s hard to believe we are nearly halfway through the first quarter of the school year.  Our Cubs have already come so far!  We’re seeing wonderful instruction in classrooms, friendships developing between students, and the Creekside Cub Motto being followed in all areas of our school.  As a staff, we’re focused on helping our kids grow and learn in every area, giving them an amazing experience this year at Creekside. 

 

How do we stay aligned with the things that are most important for our Cubs?  We follow our school’s Vision and Mission Statements.  Over the past few weeks, we worked with our Building Leadership Team, whole staff, and PTO officers to create the linked Vision and Mission Statements, giving us clarity on the type of school we desire for our kids and how we can continue to work together to make Creekside that school.  We will continue to reflect on our Vision and Mission Statements throughout the year, celebrating the successes and developing strategies for areas we believe need more attention.  Moving together toward our goals and reflecting on our progress helps us create a fantastic Creekside for our Cubs!

 

Thanks to our outstanding PTO, we are excited to kick off our 2024 Disney Walk-a-Thon with Family Movie Night tomorrow evening,9/14, at 6:30 PM on the football field behind Lakota West Freshman School.  We enjoyed Disney T-shirt day (or any shirt that makes you happy) today.  To continue the Walk-a-Thon excitement, we have Wear you Favorite Hat or Mickey/Minnie Ears Day coming up on 9/20, and Pajama Day on 9/27.  Please check out this linked flyer from our PTO for more information.  

 

Thank you for all your support of your child(ren) in our school.  We are grateful to be able to work together with you to provide our kids with amazing learning opportunities and fun experiences.
